I want to do this now.
Like, right now.
Except I have no foam or fabric or, most importantly, my sewing supplies!
But, like, just making the foam model seems really fun. Ahhhh, I want to do something involving crafts! But all I have is my tablet/sketch book/etc. I don’t want to draw I want to make.
I feel like a life size one of those would be boring, though. I mean, I guess it’s better to start small, but still.
That I really, really, really want to make a life-size Pokemon plushie. It’d be one of the smaller ones, of course, but I just think it’d be so much fun. First I’d need to actually start sewing again since I’m a tad rusty, but I just think it’d be so much fun. After I do a few practice things then I’d need to make a pattern, which I’ve actually never done before, so that’ll be something new. I’d probably start off with a small pattern and then size it up to the right size.
I’d also need something to hold it up. On the Pokemon community on LJ people who made life-size plushies would use PVC and wire and stuff, so that’d probably work.
Oh man, I SO want to do this. I’ll probably wait until summer vacation, though. I mean, I don’t even have any of my sewing stuff here and there’s not NEARLY enough room in my room to do something like that.
Plus, having my machine might help.
Okay well, it’s not my machine, but I’m the only one who has used it in the past 10+ years, so I call it mine. If I sewed more often then I’d probably invest in a better one, but eh, this one gets the job done and that’s all that matters! ^^
I’m like, “Pshh, I can make that!”
Especially when it come to plushies or cosplay stuff.
Except if sewing is involved I’m all like, “Pshh, I can make that! Once I learn how to sew… again…”
Because at one point in my life I did know how to sew. It was in the 7th grade. I was, like, what, 12? 13? Shit, that’s a long time ago.
Anyways I actually made PJ pants and they’re so cute. I wore them on a regular basis up until last year when they started getting holes torn in them in the crotch area. When my grandma was down for Christmas she didn’t know I made them and she was all like “Do you even wear these anymore?” and I was like “No.” and she was like “Then why do you still have them? Give them to Good Will or something.” and I was all like “But… I made them… ;~;” and she was just like, “Oh…” So now they’re folded up in a nice little pile on my bottom shelf in my closet at home where my old Girl Scout vest is.
OH NOSTALGIA.
But, yeah, if I had room for the ancient sewing machine that we have at home, here in my dorm then I’d would MAYBE try re-learning to sew.
I also made some other non-impressive things that were pretty non-impressive. Like a derptastic belt, some pouches with butt-ugly fabric, and a little organizer-thing that you can hang on the wall. I’m pretty sure all of them had crooked seams lol. The PJ pants were the only thing I made that I was proud of. I worked so hard on them.
See, I used to be semi-talented at something!
But if I get my sewing kit up here then maybe I can pick up hand sewing and make a plushie or something. MAYBE A SCALEMATE! Ever since I saw 5eyes pattern I’ve really wanted to try it. Can’t be that hard, can it? I’d just need to go… somewhere… and get some fabric. I was going to say Micheal’s, but I don’t think they have fabric and even if they did it probably isn’t very good selection. I wonder if there’s a Jo Anne’s around here somewhere.
But if I were going to do this I’d need to do it next weekend (or at least get the fabric and my sewing kit from home) because my mom is going to come up and we’re going to go to a Social Distortion concert. Fun? Meh, maybe. I know she likes them and her bff (aka my second mom) likes them and they ALWAYS come with me to my concerts, so it’s the least I could do, hehe. I like them a tad, anyways, some songs here and there. Should be fun seeing my mom and her friend, anyways! Haha, I think they should just get married so I can start saying “moms” instead, but they’re kind of too straight for that lmao. It wouldn’t work out at all since they ogle at guys way too much.

Probably said this before, but I’m gonna try to sell some of my band tees since I don’t wear them at all anymore. At least most of them. At least most of the ones in my closet, anyways. I have so many, it’s ridiculous.
