I normally don’t like to over-think Homestuck, but I’ve had this theory bouncing around in my head for a long time so I figured I would just type it out so maybe it will finally leave me alone… 

Dave is going to be the one to kill Lord English.

Dave is going to die a heroic death.

Now let me try and work through my thought process on this… for a God Tier player to be killed, it has to be a just or heroic death.  Dave reiterates the belief he is not a hero a number of times, and frankly believes he will never be able to stand up to what his Bro or John were able to achieve, although he rise to the occasion if needed.  Dave will finally get his chance to be a hero by being the one to kill Lord English.

I believe Dave will be the one to kill Lord English based on a number of hints Hussie has already dropped.  (and I know these theories have already circulated to some extent)  In [S] Seer: Descend Rose encounters a number of tapestries in reference to the four kids.  Dave’s states, “They wait for he would drop it like its hot whilst the pimp’s in the crib.”  He references to Dave and the pimp, references to Lord English.  (As his Cairo Overcoat is often seen as a pimp coat)  It is also important to note, Dave’s next tier on the echeladder is pimpslayer.  The ‘crib’ could possibly be in reference to his coat which takes the form of a sarcophagus when he uses it to time travel.  Since Dave is the Knight of Time, it only makes sense he would be the one to take on Lord English who just like Dave, is known for his own fair share of time travel shenanigans.  It’s has also been stated Lord English cannot be destroyed through ordinary means, but only through the “exploitation of a number of time-based glitches and loopholes”, making Dave and his new God Tier time travel abilities the man for the job.

The point about Dave dying in the process has less canonical evidence, but I do however think it would be a final validation for Dave that he has done something right, and gives him the chance to finally be, and die, a hero.  Bro protected Davesprite and died in the process, so Dave may finally step into his Bro’s shoes, rise to the occasion, and die fighting Lord English to protect his friends, or maybe even ironically enough; Dirk.  By fighting Lord English Dave would make a noble self-sacrifice for the greater good, because let’s face it; Lord English is ridiculously powerful and it’s doubtful whoever chooses to go up against his will come out unscathed. 

But anywhooo~ this is all just random theorizing which Hussie will probably mercilessly stop into the ground in the next update.  Because it’s Hussie and that’s what Hussie does best.
